At Majura Primary we recognise the achievements of our students in a number of ways, including:
- School awards
- Acknowledgement in our newsletter
- School displays
The school awards are aligned with our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. We have three different types of school awards.
- Values Spotto Lotto - Values Spotto Lotto is an initiative to celebrate the school values demonstrated on the playground. Children receive 'lotto' tickets in the areas of Responsibility, Respect and Excellence and they place their ticket with their name and class into boxes at the front office. Two tickets are drawn at each assembly and students are invited to a special morning tea with the school executive staff.
- Sector Awards - Teachers nominate a student from their class who has consistently displayed one of our school values, and these awardsare handed out at junior and senior assemblies by the Principal.
- Principal Awards - Teachers nominate a student from each year level for the exceptional demonstration of the school values, and these are handed out once a term at the whole school assembly. .
We are proud of our student's achievements and like to recognise these in a variety of ways. Student leadership opportunities such as Student Representative Council Members and House Captains are recognised through displays in our front foyer and the receiving of representative badges. You can see our proud and smiling students photo's up on display. We also like to recognise other student achievements in academics, sport and other extra-curricular activities through acknowledgement in our school newsletters and assemblies.
