Preschool Hours
Watson Preschool hours are 8:45am - 2:45 pm. This allows families to drop off and pick up preschoolers before they make their way to the primary site for older siblings, if required.
At 8:45am parents and students enter together through their class gates. Students hang their bag up on a hook and place their fruit in the fruit tub, drink bottle on the drink station and lunch box in the tubs. Students wash their hands, sign themselves in and start an activity. Parents leave once their child is settled.
Primary School Hours
Majura Primary School hours for all students are 9:00am - 2:58pm.
- 9:00am - School begins
- 11:15am - 11:55am - Break 1 (Lunch)
- 1:25pm - 1:55pm - Break 2 (Recess)
- 2:58pm - School ends
Before and after school care is provided on site by the YWCA.
Before School
From 8:40am a teacher is provided as a roving supervisor outside. Our library is open from 8:30am every morning.
At 9:00am students line up in their designated areas to meet their teacher and start the day.
Kindergarten
Students line up with their bag in the kindergarten courtyard in their class lines.
Year 1
Classes 1LP and 1BP leave their bags and line up outside and to the left of the double doors of the kinder playground.
Classes 1AX and 1LG line up on either side of the doors at the bottom of the courtyard.
Class 1RD leave their bags and line up at the classroom door (courtyard side).
Please note students are not to come inside before school to hang their bags up in the corridor.
Year 2
Classes 2JB, 2JH and 2KS leave their bags and line up at the external classroom door on the courtyard side.

Year 3
Students line up in the shelter sheds.
Year 4
Students line up near their entry doors on Irvine.
Year 5
Students hang their bags outside their individual classrooms. Students assemble in their designated class line up area.
Year 6
Students hang their bags in the line-up spots on the paved area on Irvine Street. Students assemble in their class line up area.
We ask students not to be on the playground equipment before school as there is only one teacher out on duty. This is for the safety of all students especially during winter months when it can be slippery.
We appreciate students being at school on time to begin the school day at 9:00am. If your child is late to school they will need to be signed in at the front office before heading to class.
Parents on School Grounds
Majura Primary School welcomes connection with parents and other community members. Any adult coming in to the school will need to sign in at the front office upon arrival and sign out at departure. Dogs are not permitted on school grounds.
Leaving Early
If students need to leave early for any reason, they need to be collected from the front office. Please contact our front office staff as they will organise to have the student brought out to you. If a student is returning to school during the day they must be signed back in through the front office.
