It is important to us that we work in partnership with parents and carers. Communication between home and school is key to this.
We recognise however that it can often be difficult communicating with teachers because they have a very full timetable; and that parents and carers also have very busy lives.
We will always work to get back to your enquiries within a reasonable timeframe. We aim to do this within 3 workings days. If your matter is urgent we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Our school uses several channels to communicate with our school community:
- Newsletter & Wats-On (sent to families via email and parent portal on Friday afternoons, alternating fortnightly between Newsletter/Wats-on)
- Parent Portal
- Emails & SMS
- School website
- Digital Notice Board (out the front of the school)
We endeavour to keep our website up to date with relevant information.
Our school calendars are available both via the website (see our calendar page) and on the Parent Portal (see details below). Upcoming dates are also shared via the Newsletter/Wats-On every week.
If you need to organise a meeting with the school, please follow this order of contact:
- Your child's teacher
- Year level executive (if required)
- Deputy Principal or Principal (if deemed necessary)
In most cases your child's teacher will be able to answer questions and resolve any concerns at a classroom level.
If you need to contact the year level executive, their email can be found on the Our Classes page.
If a meeting with the Deputy Principal or Principal has been deemed necessary after meeting with the year level executive, please contact the Principal's EA on (02) 6142 3397 to book a time.
Whilst there are several opportunities each year to connect with your child's teacher, our teachers are happy to meet with you outside of these times as requested.
Please contact your child's teacher via email to book a time (all teacher emails can be found on the Our Classes page).
We acknowledge that many parents can't come into school, so we try to connect you with your child's learning through Seesaw posts.
Seesaw requires annual permission and payment for parent/carer access. If you have provided permission and payment but are having trouble accessing Seesaw, please contact your child's teacher.
Parents/Carers are encouraged to connect with the school as a whole through the P&C (Parents & Citizens Association) and School Board.
More information is available on the P&C and School Board pages.
Our school also welcomes parent/carer volunteers. Opportunities to volunteer may include class reading, excursions, sport gala days, and sharing your expertise with our students. Most volunteering opportunities are advertised by email or in the newsletter so please keep an eye out for these!
More information is available on the Volunteers page.
